Despite averaging just over 30 points, eight rebounds, and six assists per game this season, NBA star LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers failed to reach the playoffs in an underwhelming season. James, age 37, would have finished second in points per game this season if he had not been injured for a large portion of the time.

Before his first period physics class, junior Souvik Kar fills out his bracket on the ESPN Tournament Challenge app on his phone. Kar is just starting to fill out the bracket, which typically only takes five to 10 minutes to complete. This is just one of 20 brackets that Kar has done in the last few days. Before filling out his bracket, “ I read info and data about the matchups then compared them,” Kar said.

Junior Siraj Sayeed is about to head to his sixth period class after eating lunch with friends on the first day of the semester, in which lunch was extended by six minutes. Sayeed completed an assignment during lunch with the extra time that helped him to do so. “It allows more time to study for tests for later classes and finish homework for later classes,” Sayeed said.
