‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ breaks the box office

Since 2002, there have been eight Spiderman movies starring three different actors: Tobey Mcquire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. Each of their Spiderman movies tells unique individual stories about the adventures of Spiderman, while also dealing with his regular life as Peter Parker. Spiderman fans have been waiting for years for all three Spidermen to share the screen and their wish has finally come true.

In “Spiderman: No Way Home,” we pick up where we saw Peter Parker, played by Holland, last time when his identity got revealed and everyone thinks he is a villain. Wanting everyone to forget his secret identity, Peter goes to Dr. Strange, a sorcerer in his universe, and asks him to make a spell that makes everyone forget he is Spiderman. The spell is messed up thanks to Peter and opens up the multiverse allowing new people to come into the universe.

The characters that get sent into the universe are all past Spiderman villains from the original five movies. We are introduced to Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard, and Sandman. It is Peter’s job to capture every villain he let into his universe and send them back. When the villains find out that if they get sent back to their universe they will die, Peter offers to help get rid of their powers. However, the villains don’t want to get rid of their powers and all chaos breaks loose. ¨I liked how they brought each villain back and were able to focus on each villain the right amount. Each villain was very scary and interesting in their own way and made me afraid of what Spiderman was up against,¨ junior Kylie Kaplan said.

After Peter accidentally lets the villains escape, we see him at his lowest point yet, but when he is greeted by the two other Spidermen he realizes he has to help fix the mess he made and is ready to stop the villains.

“Spiderman: No Way Home” is a perfect Spiderman story, showing how actions have consequences, and to be a hero requires sacrifice. The movie has lots of drama, action and twists. With the addition of three Spidermen, it is interesting to see how they interact with funny moments and stories while either in a lab or in the middle of a fight.

“Spiderman: No Way Home” has a Rotten Tomato score of 93% and an audience score of 98%, showing why it’s one of the top movies of 2021. Also with a box office gross of $1.54 billion worldwide, it is already in the top 10 in the highest box office numbers and it’s still in theaters. “Spiderman: No way Home” is a great movie and there is no reason not to see it even if you don’t know much about Spiderman. It has a great mix of comedy and drama. If you are a Spiderman fan you will love the interactions of all the characters you grew up with.
