I felt like Cynthia and Ariana did an amazing job at capturing the characters and bringing them to life. I know the movie was made a week after the first one, but they really made me feel like a lot of time had passed,” junior Jolie Ginsburg said.
The movie effectively blends humor and action. From clever jokes to exciting confrontations, the pace keeps viewers interested from start to finish. These moments make the film fun and exciting for everyone. “Ariana did a really good job being funny and serious when she needed to be. She made the movie so much better with her emotions, and just an amazing actor. I wouldn’t choose anyone else to play Glinda,” junior Ashley McGuinness said.
Friendship, courage and standing up for what you believe in are central themes in the movie. Glinda and Elphaba’s bond is especially heartwarming, showing how friendship can grow even through challenges. These emotional moments give the movie heart and make it easy to connect with the characters. “This was my first time seeing the second half of ‘Wicked,’ and just how Cynthia and Ariana portrayed these best friends through multiple challenges is so impressive,” junior Nicole Dirk said.
Parts of the movie feel a little rushed. The story moves quickly from one event to the next, which sometimes makes emotional scenes feel shorter than they deserve. New viewers might find twists confusing, and the overall tone is heavier with fewer light or funny scenes than Part One.
