From pumpkin carving to haunted houses, and most importantly candy, Halloween is a time for fun and exciting activities. This year students have different activities and plans on how they are going to celebrate and enjoy their Halloween. From a performance, to hanging out with friends, students have fun activities to look forward to during Halloween.

Halloween, which occurs every year on Oct. 31, has traditions and customs that people can look forward to. From trick-or-treating, to the annual trip to the pumpkin patch, or even a yearly Halloween-themed party, Halloween has timed traditions that make Oct. 31 an exciting day of the year. Junior Jackson Beaver is looking forward to celebrating Halloween this year and has fun activities he is planning. Beaver plans on dressing up as Cat in the Hat and is looking forward to wearing his costume. “I will dress up as Cat in the Hat because I have been told over the years I look like Cat in the Hat so I decided I might as well draw whiskers and dress up like the Cat in the Hat for the holiday,” Beaver said.

In addition Beaver said he plans on attending an event with a group of friends whether it be a party or just hanging out and spending time with one another. “I am not sure exactly what event I will do but I plan on hanging out with my friends if they decide to host a party or select another activity,” Beaver said.

In the past Beaver has gone trick or treating but in recent years has moved away from that and toward other activities. “I used to go trick or treating but now that I am older I would rather just hang out with my friends and do my own activities with them,” Beaver said.

Although trick or treating and hanging out with friends are popular ways to spend Halloween, sophomore Nathan Mulghetta, who is a part of the school’s band, has a performance he is looking forward to participating in on the night of Halloween. Mulghetta plays the alto saxophone and is looking forward to the performance. “I am looking forward to my performance with the Wootton Band on Halloween even though I won’t be able to hang out with friends. I am looking forward to spending my Halloween doing this activity and would prefer to be in a performance than doing other activities that may arise,” Mulghetta said.

Halloween is a fun day every year for students to enjoy activities with their friends and participate in fun events that make their Halloween night memorable. From dressing up and hanging out with friends to participating in the school’s band concert, students have fun activities and events being planned that they can look forward to participating in during Halloween.
