New Qdoba Mexican Eats opens in Rockville on Shady Grove Road
On Feb. 28, Qdoba Mexican Eats, a restaurant company since 1995 for counter-serve, custom burritos, tacos and more, opened in Rockville on Shady Grove Road.
Qdoba is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. through 9 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant includes different service options such as dine-in, takeout and no-contact delivery.
Their menu is offered online at their website to allow the public to look at the menu before going to the restaurant or to order online. The menu features a variety of burritos, bowls, salads, nachos and tacos. Qdoba also features a breakfast menu that is served until 10:30 a.m. daily. The website introduces customers by saying, “welcome to a more flavorful world.”
Qdoba is a chain of fast-casual restaurants in the United States and Canada serving Mexican-style cuisine. According to the website, “After spending 15 years as a wholly owned subsidiary of Jack in the Box, the company was sold to a consortium of funds led by Apollo Global Management in March 2018.”
Qdoba has two other Montgomery County locations including one on Rollins Ave in Rockville and another on Tech Rd in Silver Spring. The restaurant is pet-friendly, has free Wi-Fi, and a freestyle machine, and includes a patio/outdoor seating, catering and a rewards program. “Inspired by the culinary traditions of Mexico, Latin America, and beyond, our flavor combinations are free of colors from artificial sources. We’re talking about made in-house-by-hand-every-single-day freshness, like our made-from-scratch pico de gallo, open flame-grilled chicken and steak, and hand-crafted guacamole,” according to their website.
Junior Adriana Cruz constantly goes to Qdoba to get their create your own entree bowls. “I love their food there. It is extremely flavorful and delicious,” Cruz said.
Cruz usually goes for dinner with her family. “You can never go wrong with Qdoba to be honest and the staff is always really friendly and welcoming,” Cruz said.
Junior Allison Museles has never been to Qdoba but said they really would like to try it. “It seems good, I just haven’t had the chance to try it yet since it was kind of far but now that they have one so close I definitely will,” Museles said.
Cruz would also like to try this new location since she has never been there before either. “I am so excited to go because it’s so close and convenient,” Cruz said.
On Google Reviews, Qdoba was given a 4.3 out of 5 stars with 901 reviews. Qdoba is constantly adding new items to their menu, however, rarely do they remove items. Qdoba recently launched new keto, vegan and double protein bowl options for their customers.
