Finalists for homecoming ballot announced, seniors get excited for opportunity-

The 2018-2019 finalists for homecoming queen were Rita Zhang, Maddie Grainger, Sage Kumar and Dimagi Kottage. The finalists for homecoming king were Jake Smith, Sam Bai, Richard Qiao and Nick Gracyalny. “I am really excited that I was nominated. It is a pretty cool experience. Good luck to all the other finalists,” senior Nick Gracyalny said.

Construction to begin, affect daily lives of local residents on a long term scale-

On Monday, the City of Rockville began construction. Including installing sidewalks from Lindsey Terrace to Glen Mill Road on the west side of Wootton Parkway, as well as tree removals, tree plantings, retaining wall, streetlight relocations and fire hydrant relocations. The project will last for about four months and the work will impact areas along Wootton Parkway from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m.

Memorial Golf Tournament slient auction brings in variety of items from the school’s sports teams-

The Dr. Michael Doran Memorial Golf Tournament silent auction has added two estate planning packages have been added to the auction starting at $50. These packages are valued at $2,100. During last year’s auction one bidder won one for just $350. The packages include an Initial Consultation, Wills, Living Wills, and a Power of Attorney for Two. A second Capitals Commemorative Plaque has also been added to the auction, as well as a bag of seasonal treats from Trader Joe’s.
