Junior Jesse Dim has launched CAD for a Cause, a new club dedicated to empowering students to use their creativity and design skills to support local charities and foster community engagement.
CAD for a Cause is built upon collaboration and creativity, encouraging members to use their talents for a good cause. The club organizes events such as design workshops and charity auctions, allowing students to showcase their skills while supporting essential services. Senior Omari Hallman said, “Participating in charities has shown me how impactful our efforts can be as a group.”
The club’s primary mission is to generate donations for those in need. Dim hopes that through their efforts, they can have a significant effect on the local community. “I want our club to make as many donations as possible and have a big impact on our community,” he said, emphasizing the importance of their work.
The club not only raises funds but also brings awareness to social issues. Senior Agamraj Singh believes that participating in charitable events helps strengthen the bonds among club members. Singh said, “Working together for a cause definitely unites people, and it feels rewarding to see the difference we can make.”
The impact of CAD for a Cause extends beyond just raising money; it also focuses on building skills for its members. Participants will learn valuable lessons in collaboration, project management and effective communication. As Dim said, the experience provides insight into real-world applications of design and teamwork while benefiting the community.
As the club continues to grow, its members remain passionate about finding new ways to contribute. Upcoming events are yet to come and anticipation is growing. Hallman said there is excitement about these upcoming activities: “It will be great to see our hard work come together for a cause we all believe in.”
CAD for a Cause not only supports local charities but also nurtures an environment where students can learn and express their creativity. By utilizing skills in design and collaboration, the club members plan to pave pathways toward future opportunities while giving back. Singh said “Being part of a team can change someone’s perspective on what it means to give.”
The club also aims to engage with the broader community by collaborating with local businesses and organizations. By partnering with these entities, CAD for a Cause enhances its visibility and reach, encouraging more students to get involved. This strategic approach not only benefits the charities they support but also cultivates a culture of philanthropy within the school. As the club innovates and evolves, it continues to inspire others to take part in giving back.
