The team was 8-6 heading into the final game against Magruder. They looked to continue the success of the past years and finish their season on a win. The Patriots started out hot with sophomore guards Ian Smith and Dason Miller knocking down three’s to open the game.

The Patriots were able to keep a fast tempo throughout led by sophomore guard Ryan Parent. Parent controlled the team and was able to find open shooters while still keeping himself as an important option on the offensive end. Justin McGraw was a dominant force throughout the game with nobody looking to match the physical presence that he brings inside the paint. The bench was able to match the starters intensity when brought into the game.

The Patriots finished the game with a dominating win and ended the season with a 9-6 record. Parent finished with 20 points, while Smith and Miller both had 12 points each. Justin McGraw was able to finish with an impressive statline of 12 points and 10 rebounds. “It was a great way to end our season and everyone played well,” Justin McGraw said.

Parent ended the season leading the team in scoring, averaging 15 points a game along with six assists. Miller averaged 12 points a game and three steals. Smith averaged 11 points and was always a threat from beyond the arc. Justin McGraw’s late play at the end of the season brought his scoring up to 10 a game followed by nine rebounds.
Five sophomores from the JV team got called up to end the season with varsity: Parent, Smith, Miller, Justin McGraw and sophomore wing Liam Miller. Parent, Miller and Justin McGraw all got opportunities to suit for varsity’s game against Seneca Valley. “Getting called up allows us to get used to the speed and physicality of the game and gives us a little more experience,” Miller said.
