Color changing trees, crisp air and sweater weather aren’t the only indicators that the fall season is upon us. The wide ranging pumpkin spice epidemic is also emblematic to the fall season. During the fall season you can find almost anything with Pumpkin Spice flavoring.
The Pumpkin Spice latte from Starbucks is the most well-known and popular, It was one of the first pumpkin spice Lattes and typically hits stores around Labor Day, but this year to our luck it came earlier, around the middle of August. The pumpkin spice latte, also known as the “PSL” is a hot drink containing Starbucks signature espresso, steamed milk, pumpkin and spices. This handcrafted drink retails for $4.95-$5.45, which is a little bit more on the pricier side, but that doesn’t stop it from being one of the most popular drinks. Since 2003, the PSL has sold over 424 million cups in the United States. This drink has become part of my weekly fall morning routine and I give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this drink for people who love the warm taste of fall in every sip.
Aside from the PSL, Starbucks recently came out with a pumpkin spice cream cold brew. It is made with a few pumps of vanilla and is topped with a pumpkin cream cold foam and cinnamon spices. The cold brew is unique and creative. Being a big coffee lover, I just had to try the new cold brew and see what all the hype was about. It has a pungent taste and exceeded my expectations. I give it 4.5 stars out of 5, and recommend it to all pumpkin spice and coffee lovers.
Drinks aren’t the only thing that change with the seasons. The Trader Joe’s pumpkin spice pancakes and waffles mix is a fall necessity for all pumpkin spice lovers. The mix is made up of real pumpkin and seasonal spices, they also have a gluten-free mix to accommodate all. It is extremely affordable retailing for $1.99. You can always find a box of these in my cabinets as soon as they’re released for the fall season. Every Sunday my friend comes over and we make a dozen of these pancakes to eat while watching Netflix. You could say I’m utterly addicted. Each bite gives a sensational taste of the fall season and you can easily find yourself eating more than a suggested serving. I would highly recommend this mix and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
During the fall season, almost everything and anything can be found in the pumpkin spice flavoring. The warm and gustatory taste leaves a mouthwatering desire for more in each bite.
