As the senior class graduates, senior superlatives are awarded to the individuals who stand out and made the past school year fun and special.
This year’s categories included most likely to become president, go viral, become a billionaire, sleep through class, be late to graduation, make a scientific breakthrough, come back and teach, be mistaken for a freshman and be in a professional sports league. Other categories were the cutest couple, best bromance, class clown, most athletic, best rizz, best hair, most patriotic, worst parker and best smile.
Seniors Daniel Kim and Lauren Smith were both nominated for most likely to go viral. Smith has a popular account on TikTok, with over 2.5k followers, and one video with over 370K views. Smith said, “I’m happy and think it’s funny because I post a lot on social media.”
Darek Yu was nominated as most likely to sleep through class and Jason Ho was named most likely to be late to graduation. Katherine Hawley was nominated for most athletic for her commitment to the University of Maryland to play soccer, and class clown was awarded to Landon Silbert for his ability to make everyone around him crack a smile.
Seniors Kristina Khrimian and Troy Bailey were both nominated for most likely to become a billionaire. Bailey said, “I personally think it’s funny, and came out of nowhere that I was nominated for it. Maybe it’s because my friends were just messing around and put me as a random.”
Friend groups may have put their friends as nominees for random categories to get a good laugh, while other nominations were deserved, like most patriotic to Lindsey McNey who never failed to show up at a football game without a spirited outfit and a winner’s attitude. Worst case of senioritis was awarded to Micheal Gurevich and Alexa Ntchobo, who were rarely seen in class and preferred to spend their time outside of school.
Taj Smith Jr. was one of the two athletes nominated for most likely to make it to a professional sports league. Smith said, “I think I got nominated because of my work ethic and it shows on the basketball court. I feel good that it shows people recognize all the time I put in.”
Elli Shmunis was nominated for best hair, and worst parker was awarded to Madison Moorhead. Those who shined the brightest were Luke Bryan and Joy Gyamfi, who were both awarded best smile.
As the senior class finishes their last week of school, the underclass friends they leave behind hope they have the best smile throughout hard times, be spirited no matter what, stay athletic and become billionaires.
