The cold weather is finally gone, and spring is upon us. With the change in season the activities available are endless, from walking outside to seeing the cherry blossoms, spring is an enjoyable time of year.

Spring is a fresh start, flowers begin to bloom, it’s the perfect time to get outside with the warm weather. Students take it upon themselves to spend time outside, and soak up as much sun as possible.

Desperate to escape being stuck inside with the brutal cold weather, the second the weather gets nice one should get outside and go on a bike ride. Biking is an amazing way to spend time outside and to get some exercise while still having fun.

Another activity to enjoy spring is to go to a local park and fly a kite. Flying a kite gets students to go outside and take in the warm weather of spring. “I love spring because it doesn’t get too hot but it doesn’t get too cold either,” freshman Peter Stanton Shepard said.

Springtime is one of the most stressful periods of the school year. Students are closing out the school year and stress can build up. Going outside and just sitting down in the fresh air helps cope with stress during spring.

After finishing homework students can go for a run to get a good exercise. Not just exercise, going for a run gives students the change to get outside and not sit inside all day. “In spring I go outside way more than any of the other seasons because of the beautiful weather,” sophomore Ryan Parent said.

After wearing coats for the long winter season once spring comes around it’s time for shorts and T-shirts. In spring I wear a light jacket with shorts,” senior Chase McGraw said.

Sitting on a deck outside or on a front door step is a relaxing place to read a book and enjoy the fresh spring air. Kick back relaxing in the warm weather while reading a book is another tactic to take advantage of spring time.

If books aren’t what you do going outside and listening to music can also be an activity for taking advantage of spring. Pop, rap, rock all the genres students listen to can help them enjoy a sunny spring day. “I sit on my couch in the winter to listen to music but in the spring I’m outside because there’s no reason to be inside,” freshman Jessica Winson said.

Spring has a countless number of things and activities to do. From riding a bike, to listening to Lil Uzi Vert on a deck the choices are endless.
