Camryn Eats: Starbucks

Tis that time of the year where hot chocolate becomes your winter necessity. Hot chocolate is one of my favorite winter drinks due to its chocolatey, sensational flavor and cool whipped cream. Starbucks has done us the favor of producing a variety of different hot chocolates to keep us warm and toasty this season.

The hot chocolates are sold in five sizes: kids’, short, tall, grande and venti. They range in price with the basic hot chocolate being the least expensive starting at $1.35 and the other hot chocolates begin at $2.85. All the drinks are slightly thick in consistency and are high in calories.

We’ll start with the basic hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is a seasonal must have during these cold, harsh temperatures. The drink consists of steamed milk with mocha syrup, vanilla syrup and the choice of whipped cream. A tall with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle is super sweet in an enjoyable way.

Next is the Toasted White hot chocolate, flavored with caramelized white chocolate, topped off with whipped cream, holiday sugar sparkles and white pearls. This drink is similar to the standard White Chocolate Mocha, but has a smoky taste to it. The Toasted White hot chocolate is perfect for a cozy night in or a night out in the cold.

The Peppermint hot chocolate is one of the most popular. This drink is for those who love hot chocolate but want a little more excitement in every sip. The Peppermint hot chocolate is made up of chocolate mocha sauce, peppermint flavored syrup, steamed milk and whipped cream with chocolate curls. This drink is my go-to Starbucks hot chocolate. I highly recommend the Peppermint hot chocolate to all peppermint lovers. It has a strong, pungent peppermint flavor and gets me in the winter spirits.

The Salted Caramel hot chocolate was one I was most excited for. Salted Caramel is one of my favorite flavors for just about anything. This drink is made up of steamed milk and mocha sauce combined with toffee nut and vanilla syrup. It is then topped off with whipped cream, caramel syrup and seasalt. All the flavors blended together beautifully to create this delicious drink and in every sip I get a taste of caramel and sea salt, which are the perfect combination. The Salted Caramel hot chocolate is a winter must try and I highly recommend this drink to all Salted Caramel lovers.

Last is the White Chocolate hot chocolate. This drink is a traditional white chocolate drink made up of white chocolate, steamed milk and whipped cream. It’s flavorful and sweet drink but also delicious and delectable.

All of the Starbucks hot chocolates are seasonal, meaning they’re only available for a limited time. I highly recommend these hot chocolate drinks so before the season comes to an end, make sure to try each one.
