Camryn Eats: Teamania

I’m a 17-year-old with a big passion for trying new foods. There is nothing I love more than stuffing my face with food and discovering new favorites. You will rarely find me disliking anything except for cilantro. I have a burning hatred for cilantro, and you will never catch me loving anything with that foul herb in it. Aside from that though, there is nothing I love more than dessert time. I can eat dessert all day long, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here, I share with you one of my new favorite bakeries that I highly recommend to all pastry and dessert lovers like myself.

As I was scrolling through Instagram one boring summer morning I came across an ad for the cutest little bakery cafe called Teamania, not far from my home. Not having anything to do, I decided to call up my friends and head over there to meet them. Teamania is located on Rockville Pike, is hidden behind Venus Nail Salon. I had a hard time finding the place and finding parking but it was worth it. The Asian-European fusion bakery cafe is a comfortable place to study or just relax with friends.

My friends and I sat around a table eating pastries, drinking bubble tea and chatting for almost two hours. From milk teas to coffee and savory scones to dark chocolate mousse cakes, Teamania has it all. I decided to go with something a little more substantial and ordered the Original Souffle with chocolate ice cream. Within minutes of receiving my order, it was gone from my plate.

Being a big pastry and sweets lover, I can say it was one of the most mouthwatering, fluffiest, and extravagant souffles I have ever had. Being a new small bakery cafe in an area with lots of competition, I walked in not expecting much. After my first bite I was in complete shock at how amazing the dessert was.

Teamania is a pretty affordable place with coffee starting as low as $2.55 and desserts as low as $2.25. Teamania is open all days of the week from 9a.m. till 10p.m. which is convenient, whether you’re in the mood for a good breakfast or late-night dessert run.

The inside is spacious and comforting with couches and cushions as chairs and many tables to choose from. It reminded me of a bakery you’d find on the streets of Paris.

If you’re in need of a quiet place to study, or a casual chill place to go hang with friends, Teamania accommodates both. I rate Teamania 4 stars out of 5. I took off a star because I had a hard time finding parking and grew impatient driving around looking for a spot. Aside from that, the food is amazing, and the setup inside is beautiful.
