Man puts camera in a bathroom at a Montgomery County gymnastics facility
A 54 year old man, Jonathan Oldale, hid his a camera in an unisex bathroom at Silver Star Gymnastics and Fitness Club. According to WTOP, he was arrested on Oct. 18 after hiding a camera on May 5. Oldale was a parent whose child attended the facility. An employee called the police and moved the camera and then saw Oldale move the bag without the camera. Oldale later asked the front desk if they had his key fob. Three weeks later, the employee found the same bag with wires and cords and Oldale admitted that it was his. Police obtained a search warrant and found videos on his computer. On Oct. 18 Oldale turned himself in and he was released on a bond.
Robbery at Wheaton Mall
On Oct. 11 a woman at Wheaton Mall was robbed by three masked men in a stairwell by the parking garage. According to WTOP, one of the robbers had a gun while the other took her wallet. The third robber was a lookout and they fled the scene right after they took the wallet. Although the woman called the police right after it happened, the police were not able to catch them. The police looked at the surveillance footage and were able to identify two of the robbers faces but have not been caught yet.
Judge sentences Richard Montgomery security chief to 18 months in jail
The head of security at Richard Montgomery has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. According to WTOP, the 58-year-old, Mark Yantsos admitted to the relationship with a student. Yantsos pleaded guilty to a minor count of sexual abuse, which can lead to a maximum of 25 years. Yantsos was sentenced to 18 months in jail and five years of probation. Yantsos also has to register as a sex offender and cannot contact his daughter.
