James Bond No Time To Die, starring Daniel Craig, gives fans one last ride as James Bond goes back into action. Dating back to 2006, Craig’s James Bond saga has consisted of five movies: Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre and the brand new No Time To Die. 

No Time To Die is the perfect finale as it gives James Bond one last mission to help save the world, but also shows his life outside of all the fighting. The movie features part of the cast from previous James Bond movies such as Léa Seydou, who was also in Spectre, Ben Whishaw, who has been in the previous two Bond movies and Ralph Fiennes, who also was in the previous two Bond movies.

The movie has received good reviews so far, with a 84% from Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.5/10 from IMDb. “I thought the movie was very good and I’m so glad they made a new one. I’m going to be sad that Daniel Craig won’t be James Bond anymore but I’m excited for the new Bond they’re going to cast,” junior Ethan Kuan said. 

The movie is about retired 007 agent James Bond who comes out of retirement to try and stop Safin, the villain, played by Rami Malek. The movie kicks off in Matera, a town in the southern region of Basilicata. It then continues to travel around the globe to different places including Jamaica and the Ponte dell’Acquedotto of Gravina in Puglia.

The movie was first set to release back in April 2020, but was delayed due to Covid-19. The movie could have been released on a streaming service like a bunch of other movies did, but they chose to wait it out so the movie could release in theaters first. Now the movie is available to rent on Amazon Prime video for $19.99. 

The whole Bond franchise has produced 25 movies, and Daniel Craig has appeared in five of them. Other actors to play the Bond character include Sean Connery, who played the role six times from 1962 to 1971. “My favorite Bond actor is Daniel Craig because he’s the one I have watched since I was a kid, and I have never really watched the other movies with the other actors,” sophomore Isiah Kuiper said.

Spectre, which was released back in 2015 and is the second most recent James Bond film, was about how Bond carried out an unauthorized kill, and how he had to stop the sinister organization Spectre. No Time To Die has callbacks to the Spectre movie, but you don’t need to have seen it to watch No Time To Die. 

The movie is a great watch and fans of action, adventure, romance and suspense will love this movie.
