Harry Styles ‘Love on Tour’ concert surprises fans
The Harry Styles’ Love On Tour concert has been on every fan’s radar. Students went to the concert on Sept. 18 at Capital One Arena, and got to see Styles perform live.
Fans raved over not only the music, but the atmosphere the concert provided. Senior Allie Gritz was waiting for the concert for months. “The concert had such an inviting atmosphere and everyone was so nice. It was amazing and so much fun to hear all the songs,” Gritz said.
According to fans, one of the great things about the concert was the atmosphere. Senior Jayne Samborn said she had an amazing time at the concert. “I loved seeing everyone’s outfits and talking to so many people,” Samborn said.
Styles played popular songs like Adore You, Fine Line, and Golden. “It was such a cool thing to hear the songs in person after listening to them on repeat on my phone for the past couple months,” senior Grace Mahon said.
Besides the music, fans loved dressing up for the concert. Gritz planned her outfit far in advance and was excited to wear it. “I was so excited to dress up for this concert with my friends. It was so fun to see everyone’s crazy outfits and everyone was so nice about complementing what people were wearing,” Gritz said.
The audience stayed engaged the whole time, and brought signs in the hopes that Styles would see them. Styles stayed active with the audience the whole time, talking to them and making sure they were having a good time. Styles reacted to some of the signs and sang happy birthday to one of the audience members. “It was the best concert ever. Being in an arena made it very personal so he talked to the audience a lot. His jokes, dancing, and singing were incredibly entertaining. I wish I could go back to this night and relive it again,” Samborn said.
With so many people in the audience, the concert was loud. “It was so loud in there that it was hard to hear most of the time, but it was still so much fun. There were so many teenage girls there it was crazy,” Mahon said.
Fans do not know when to expect Styles to come back to D.C., but he is going to be playing through 2022 in places all over the world. He tends to leave fans in the dark when he is working on new music. During the concert, Styles teased new music that has been said to come out imminently.
