Softball’s hard work put to test in opener

The girl’s junior varsity softball team begins their season with a home game against Damascus today at 3:45 p.m.

The team is coached by technology teacher Lindsay Roberts. The team is excited to start a new season. “I am very happy that we have a coach. I think that we will all get some play time and will be able to become better over the course of the season,” sophomore Shannon Snape said.

A sense of comradery has developed in recent weeks. Junior Sophia Miller said, “I am actually really happy with all my teammates. We have bonded over the last few weeks. Ms. Roberts is awesome.”

Roberts reciprocated the sentiment. “The girls are working hard and we are excited about this,” she said.
