McDonalds brings back well-loved Szechuan sauce
It’s been nearly 20 years since fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s served their hot and spicy Szechuan sauce for the first time after the release of the Walt Disney movie “Mulan.” For years, both McDonald’s consumers and employees had forgotten about the little red containers that beheld what is now the most popular item to be desired on a menu. It wasn’t until the first episode of the third season of “Rick and Morty” aired that hundreds of people craved the dip. In the episode, character Rick Sanchez claimed that he needed the sauce, even if it takes “nine more seasons until [he gets]” it. While McDonald’s assured the return of the beloved condiment on Oct. 7, restaurants ran out of it in a matter of hours while others never received it. McNugget-lovers across the nation flooded into McDonalds rioting for the sauce. As a result of hundreds of bummed and angry fans, the dipping sauce has been promised to make its return this winter.
Popular shows taken off Netflix amid objections from viewers
Ever since Netflix was founded on Aug. 29, 1997, it has been a place for people to see their favorite movies and binge-watch thrilling TV series. Lately, however, Netflix users are astounded by the increased disappearance of shows and movies. Due to Fox ending its contract with Netflix, titles including “American Horror Story” will be gone by Dec. 6 and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” on Dec. 8. While other Fox shows such as “New Girl” and “Archer” have not been confirmed as to whether or not they will be departing from Netflix, Fox will continue to retract their shows from the streaming site. Along with shows, movies like “Titanic” and “The Shining” will be gone. While fans mourn the loss of their favorite shows and movies, Netflix will try to compensate by bringing back “Stranger Things” on Oct. 27 and introducing the new series “Mindhunter.”
Artists of all music genres plan to release their new albums within the next months
This fall and winter, widely-adored music artists are expected to drop their newest albums. Albums to be dropped on Oct. 27 include “The Meaning of Life” by songwriter Kelly Clarkson, “Pacific Daydream” by the rock band Weezer and “Still I Am” by rapper Yo Gotti. Sam Smith, having already released two of his songs from his new album, will be dropping his heavily anticipated album “The Thrill of it All” on Nov. 3. America’s Got Talent winner Grace Vanderwaal will also be dropping her debut album “Just the Beginning” on the same day. Additional artists who will be gifting fans with their new albums on Nov. 3 include Maroon 5, Converge and James Holden and the Animal Spirits. Lead singer Morissey of the English rock band The Smiths will also be releasing his album “Low in High school” after an eight-year song hiatus
