“Rapunzel! Rapunzel let down your hair,” the prince sings lovingly. But in this fairytale, it’s not a long straight wave of hair that greets the prince. Instead the prince stands patiently as a fountain of luscious curls greets him at the bottom.
Some women pay $110 for five or 10 packs of hair that will only last three to four weeks for a hairstyle that supposedly will make your hair “poppin.” Imagine no longer having to sit in the salon chair for hours and hours.
There is a range of types of curly hair that any person can have. By learning how to embrace and manage your natural curls you can open yourself up to a range of new hairstyles.

Curly 3A & 3B
Curly 3A and 3B hair is a looser form of a curl. For Curly 3A hair there is more of a loop between the curls whereas Curly 3B is more defined and has slightly tighter curls. If you have 3A and 3B hair you may be prone to be more frizz. Therefore, there is no need to start avoiding the rain but rather simply use Shea Moisture Yucca & Plantain Anti-Breakage Frizz Free Shine Mist. By spritzing your hair with this product, not only will your curls be frizz free but will also gain extra moisture. Although your curls may be loose moisture is still important. However, do not go overboard with moisturizer as your hair can become greasy and oily.
Curly 3C
The difference between Curly 3A and Curly 3B versus Curly 3C is that Curly 3C has the tightest curl out of all three. Curly 3C tends to be more of a “corkscrew” shape and the curls are more closely packed to one and other. Due to the tightness of the curls, moisture is important and incorporating deep conditioners such as Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque and Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner can help give your hair that extra boost it needs.

Curly 4A, 4B, 4C
Curly 4A, 4B and 4C hair is a more “kinkier” texture of hair. The curls are tightly bound and there is little to no space between the curls. All of the three types of textures tend to be prone to breakage and dryness. Therefore, in combination with the deep conditioning treatments wearing your hair in protective styles such as braids or twists can help retain moisture while preventing breakage.
Transitioning to natural hair can be a struggle. But these products are designed to make it easier to manage your hair in the morning. To get the right product for your hair texture you have to try several different products until you find the product that gives you your ideal results.
The definition of beautiful hair is not always European style hair. You can have thick, thin, curly or kinky hair and still have beautiful hair.
All curls are beautiful and should be celebrated for their uniqueness. “The world is becoming more and more diverse, and we celebrate that,” creators of the brand Shea Moisture Kim Etheredge and Wendi Levy said on their website Mixed Chicks.
